The Squadron Past

There are various images that we have received from many people and are placing them here. If you have more information on the photos presented, you can send them to webmaster@vma311.org.

If you have pictures that you would like to submit for the VMA-311 web site, please send them via email to webmaster@vma311.org. I can no longer accept original photographs because I honestly do not want to be responsible for these treasures.

Another great site for more information on the Tomcat's history including various photos check out another site at http://www.skyhawk.org/vma311.htm.

Hooch. We had to use wooden pallets during the Monsoon to keep our feet dry. The Hooch was actually very comfortable and only six to eight men inside. Notice the bunker next to the hooch. That was used during rocket/mortor attacks. Submitted by Corporal Wayne Varner

Korea. The man on the left entering the Ready Room is the splended splinter himself, Ted Williams. Submitted by Lt Mark Murphy who received it from a Korean War vet.

cigarrette casecigarrette caseE-mail, from Dan Love.
I have been searching various web-sites to gain information about VMF311.
I became interested after having acquired a cigarette case. The
information and photos I found on your web-site are great. I have attached scans of the cigarette case for you to see. Any information regarding the cigarette case would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Dane Love.
